8-Day Kenya Safari (Including Maasai Mara) & Mombasa Extension

Hell’s Gate, Lake Nakuru, and the Maasai Mara are all included in this 8-day Kenya safari. You can see fantastic water birds and other bird species in Lake Nakuru. The best way to see the birds is from Baboon Cliff, which offers a spectacular view of the lake and the pink flamingos that line its shore.

The Maasai Mara Game Reserve, one of Africa’s best locations for wildlife watching, is included in the 8-day Kenya safari tour. Finally, you can unwind and enjoy three days in Mombasa, which boasts breathtaking scenery.

Day 1: Pick up from your hotel and travel to Nairobi/Hells Gate.

Start your incredible Kenya safari tour with a pick-up from the airport and a drive to Lake Naivasha, stopping at Hell’s Gate along the way. The park, which is mostly made up of the savannah biome, is home to a diverse range of wildlife. Vultures, Verreaux’s Eagles, augur buzzards, and swifts are among the park’s more than 100 bird species. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, and baboons can all be found in the region. The antelope klipspringer can also be found in the park.

Day 2: Continue your Kenya safari with a transfer to Lake Nakuru.

Pick up early in the morning and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, which sits across the equator, south of Bogoria, and is home to the rift valley’s most prominent lake, Nakuru. It’s alkaline and recognised as one of the planet’s natural wonders. It’s known all over the world for its flamingos. While Lake Nakuru is now a rhino sanctuary, with a population of over 40 black and 60 white rhinos, the flamingos have always been the main attraction. Almost 2 million flamingos can be seen in the area at any given time, creating a spectacular deep pink band along the lake’s edge. Arrive in time for lunch, then go on an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park to see the numerous wildlife.

Day 3: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru

An early morning drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of the few areas on the planet where wildlife still exists in the vast numbers that once roamed Africa’s plains and forests, is a must. The Mara hosts the magnificent seasonal migration of several thousands of Wildebeest, Zebras, and predators as the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem. Arrive in time for lunch, then go on an afternoon game drive to see the large herds of wildebeests, the African Big 5, and a variety of other wildlife. Often keep in mind that a trip to the Masai Mara is not complete without a stop in Kenya. Return to your beloved lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight after a fantastic game trip.

Day 4: Continue exploring the Maasai Mara.

After breakfast, we will go on a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. The reserve is known for its black-maned lions and diverse resident wildlife, and it’s one of the only locations in the world where you can see all five of the Big Five on a morning game drive. Many cheetahs are so tame that they prefer shade from the sun under a car, and some even crawl onto the roof to get a clearer view of potential prey. Nearly 500 species of birds have been reported, including 16 species of eagle, as well as numerous hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, 4 species of bustard (including the world’s heaviest flying bird, the Kori bustard), and 9 species of sunbirds.
